Noodlin’ (2005)
Tuesday, April 19, 2005
It was a quiet spring morning in the college town of Athens, OH. Armed with a borrowed guitar, a drum set and two stomachs full of Casa, things were about to change. It has been six years since Judd and Zakk have played any music together. It took almost no time to get back into the swing of things and with six years more talent, they have never sounded better. With this completely improvised set, WHAKi had been reborn. (more liner notes)

The Beginning of WHAKi (1999)
After leaving their previous band, Superman’s Water Pistol, Judd and Zakk wanted to go in a different direction. They were working on a number of ideas and WHAKi was the one thing to bring them all together. WHAKi started off as recording project, but as the music was being written, they started to see a story unfold. They started writing a movie to go with the accidental soundtrack (It’s a little backwards, but that’s WHAKi).
The condensed plot: WHAKi, the hero who wears white shirts with khaki pants, has something an evil doctor wants, DNA Level C. The movie follows WHAKi through his adventures where, ultimately, he must stop the evil doctor and his gingerbread man army. (more liner notes)
